Introduction
Book Creator is a simple-to-use app that allows students to combine images, text, and voice into pages to create an ebook. The finished ebook can then be exported in multiple formats (ePub, PDF, and video) and shared with others.
To get an idea of what's possible with Book Creator, check out this video created by a grade 1 class. The students and their teacher used Book Creator to assemble math riddles into an ebook, added their voices, and then exported the finished ebook as a video. You can read about the process they undertook to create their ebook here.

Brainstorm
Students are often asked by their teacher to create some sort of product in order to demonstrate their learning in the classroom. Many of these products combine writing and drawing and students are often asked to present their finished work to the class. Almost anything you can do with pencil and paper can also be accomplished using Book Creator.
Working with a partner or small group, generate a list of products that students may be asked to create in class. For example, students may be asked to create a book report as part of a novel study or they may be asked to present a sculpture that they created.
Next: Go through the list you've generated and place a check mark next to every product idea that can somehow be captured digitally through photos, video, drawings, writing, and/or voice recordings.
Congratulations! These are all the things you can capture using Book Creator. Don't forget to add to your list as you progress through this lesson.
